Online Gardening Class: Terrariums / Christianson's Nursery

The word “terrarium” stems from the Latin terra, meaning “earth,” and its resemblance to an aquarium. Mid-winter, when outdoor gardening seems so far away, is a perfect time to create a terrarium.

A basic kit or components for making your own terrarium– pre-selected container, plants, decorative objects, and soil – may be pre-ordered and picked up ahead of time from the Garden Store, or simply use components from around the house. Wash containers and organize items, then log into the webinar using the provided link on our Classes & Workshops page 5 to 10 minutes early to follow step-by-step instructions alongside Christianson’s staff member, Lily Hirdler.
