Name: Gail Harker Center for Creative Arts - Wheat Paste Explorations Course
Date: October 21, 2013 - October 22, 2013
Event Description:
Wheat Paste is an incredibly expressive medium which allows you to embed "your mark" directly on a wide rage of papers and fabrics as well as being inexpensive and versatile.  Think finger painting for adults - making marks and designs with simple tools.  When you mix wheat paste with acrylic paints and matte medium, you create surfaces which have an inherent sense of depth.  Then we start adding collage materials, oil and chalk pastels, colored pencils and creating multiple layers for final richly textured surfaces.  These beautiful papers and clothes offer a jump start on any creative projects you are working on.

This course is lead by special guest tutor Martha Cole.  Martha has been a professional fabric artist for over 30 years with explorations in artist's books and bookbinding being a significant adjunct for the last 15.
