Fables Faire - A Festival of Myth & Legends

La Conner, WA –  The Washington Shakespearean Festival, is thrilled to announce the first-ever La Conner Fables Faire, a vibrant celebration of myths, legends, and heroic tales from across cultures and history. This free, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM in Downtown La Conner (1st Street). The Fables Faire invites attendees to step into a world of imagination, where everyone can embody their favorite hero! Whether Norse, Native, comic, cinematic, historical, or fantastical. The event promises a day of interactive demonstrations, live entertainment, artisan vendors, and merriment for all ages. Highlights Include: - Hands-On Activities: Try on re-created armor, join a Norse shield wall, or practice historical military maneuvers. - Artisan Demonstrations: Watch pottery, woodworking, and ironworking in action, or learn traditional cloth-spinning and weaving. - Cultural & Historical Talks: Discover the history of knives, Shakespeare’s creative process, and the power of period poetry. - Creative Workshops: Try calligraphy, illumination, dancing, singing, or cooking techniques from ages past. - Food & Merchants: Enjoy local fare and browse unique goods from vendors.
