Event Description:
The Ocean Wave Quilt Guild is a robust and energetic group of dedicated quilters located in beautiful Sitka, Alaska. We are proud to include them among our Guild Partners.
Established in the 1980s, the Guild traditionally meets nine months out of the year, welcomes everyone regardless of skill level, regularly brings in teachers from out of town, and hosts monthly open sewing sessions. The Guild actively fundraises to support special projects including college and Sitka Fine Arts Camp scholarships and benefit cancer survivors, senior citizens, and victims of violence.
The Slice group is a small, informal group within the Guild and participants change from year to year. We welcome these fine artists from the Ocean Wave Quilt Guild to their first group exhibit here at the Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum!
