Event Description:
Make your mark! A mark can be a dot, a dab, a line, a splash, a scrap, a smear, or a swirl and is the building block of all types of visual art. It can be deliberate and controlled, or gestural and expressionistic. We will experience individual and collections of marks by making many, many marks in as many ways, and with as many materials as possible inspired by the art on exhibit. We explore how marks convey information and how to ‘read’ marks. Students will develop visual vocabulary by exploring how marks convey information and how to 'read' marks. Mark making is art making!
