Event Description:
Art’s Alive, La Conner’s premier PNW fine art event, is celebrating its 40th year, and a tremendous show is planned to take place in Maple Hall on October 24, 25, 26, and 27!
The 2025 Invitational Show, “Timeless,” features the works of Andy Eccleshall, Gary L. Brown, Kathleen Faulkner, Allie High (Aleut), Ee Lin Lee, Liz Moncrief, Leo E. Osborne, Ilse Reimnitz, Buck Striegel, Barbara Silverman Summers, and Randena Walsh.
As a 40th anniversary look back, Art’s Alive is presenting the “LEGENDS” gallery including available artwork from past Featured and Invitational Artists from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000 to 2024. Art’s Alive’s rich history comes from Northwest Mystics, Heritage, and Contemporary fine artists, and over 50 of their works are available. Add a piece by a Legend to your collection.
In addition, the Open Show gallery presents the work of 30 local and regional artists representing Art’s Alive’s future, as well as the past.
The doors of Maple Hall open at 1:00 pm on Friday, Oct. 24. The Opening Celebration begins at 5:00 pm. Enjoy beverages, appetizers, and meet the artists! Dress festive, if you like. Make a cash donation to the La Conner Arts Foundation’s scholarship fund and receive an uncirculated 1987 Art’s Alive poster featuring the work of Richard Gilkey, while supplies last.
Saturday, the show continues from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with a very special “Serenade, Sip, and Stroll” in the afternoon from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. Live music, an array of libations, and captivating artwork beckons.
The show continues Sunday, October 26, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Monday, October 27, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. People’s Choice voting is open Friday through Sunday.
While Art’s Alive’s beginnings benefited The Valley Museum of Northwest Art (now known as MoNA), today it serves as the sole fundraiser for the La Conner Arts Foundation (LAF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit doing “Good Deeds Through the Arts” with a mission of scholarship and art education. Each artwork sold at Art’s Alive! contributes directly to the scholarship fund. Presented by LAF and a team of extraordinary volunteers, it receives generous support from Town of La Conner Hotel/Motel funds and Skagit County (www.visitskagitvalley.com).
