Event Description:
As I prepare some new courses and lectures for the fall and winter, I wanted to share some of my thoughts with you. This time has allowed me to reflect on my life and what is important to me. Art and design have given me a new surge of energy as I see how those two words encompass the beauty and complexity of the world around us. Come to one of my classes or lectures to better understand how they work and to be part of it. The courses are not just about learning how to make things. They are about who you are, and how you can create images that are essentially you by using color, line, shape, texture and symbolism whether you choose art and design with paper or with fabrics and threads.
I have been compiling visual materials and samples that I have been collecting for 40+ years to share with students in upcoming classes and lectures. I hope to see you soon! Gail Harker
