Event Description:
Honoring Cultural Traditions in Fiber Arts is a three-day virtual event with speakers representing four different cultural backgrounds, mini-workshops, networking and discussion groups. Speakers include Chickasaw textile artist/weaver, Margaret Roach Wheeler, Associate Curator at the National Museum of Mexican Art, Dolores Mercado, renowned Japanese quilters, Miwako Kimura and Noriko Koyama, and quilter and curator of African American fiber arts exhibitions, Torreah "Cookie" Washington. This event will be hosted online and you can register for an entire weekend package or select individual sessions, including the free ones!
