Skagit Community Band Presents: “Bon Appétit” “A multi-course concert featuring selections for appetizers, first course, second course, main course and more.” Friday Feb. 9 La Conner – Maple Hall 7:30 p.m. Sunday Feb. 11 Anacortes - Brodniak Hall 3:00 p.m. Join the Skagit Community Band as we serve up a gastronomical musical experience. We start with a musical appetizer Brass Choir “Feller From Fortune” and head into first and second courses “Moorside Suite” by Gustav Holst and “La Fiesta Mexicana” by Owen Reed, followed by “Selections from Chicago” and a Woodwind Choir “Windfall For Woodwinds” as your salad and dessert. With many other courses to make up a full meal. The Skagit Community Band has been performing in the Skagit Valley since 1962. Its rich history includes playing for the opening of the “Rest Stop” on I-5 north of Burlington, to the ground breaking of McIntyre Hall in Mount Vernon. The ensemble consists of members that believe in sharing and performing quality music. Admission to all our concerts is FREE but donations will be gladly accepted.
