Event Description:
Skagit Community Band Presents: "You Can't Be Serious!" A musical look at very serious folks performing some not so serious music. Friday, February 6th at Maple Hall, La Conner 7:30 Sunday, February 8 - Brodniak Hall, Anacortes 3:00 Join the Skagit Community Band as we perform music from the satirical to the sublime. Featured works include Rodger and Hammerstein's "Oklahoma", The Mikado Highlights arranged by Robert Russell Bennett, and Second Prelude by George Gershwin. On the lighter side, we will perform the music of Peter Schickele's P.D.Q. Bach. The SCB featured soloist will be flautist Valerie Smith performing Rhapsody for Flute.
