Event Description:

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County’s Scream & Scamper 5K Fun Run/Walk is here! This exciting themed run throughout the BOO-tifuls race was a huge success with over 400 participants. This year we expect 600 runners along with  many spectators and volunteers. Alongside ther ace will be spooky themed activities for the entire family including: Trunk or Treat Circle, face painting, costume contest on the Orange Carpet, and music. It will be a great time for the entire family.

The run takes place Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. The race starts at the Skate Park on N. 6th Street, weaves through town leading up to a turnaround point on W. Pearl Jensen Way and returns to the Frightening Finish Line at the Skate Park. The costume contest, and other festivities, will be held within the Trunk or Treat Circle after the race.

This year we are pleased to announce that the course is registered on the USA Track & Field (USATF) Certified Courses list which publicizes the race to thousands of local, regional, and national runners. All net proceeds go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County’s La Conner Club, which is a non-profit youth development organization dedicated to helping all young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
