Japanese Indigo Dyeing with Ako Shimozato

Join us on the lawn of the Gaches Mansion for an outdoor indigo dyeing class! Students will learn a brief history of indigo dyeing in Japanese culture and dye their own apron, scarf/bandana. Class is limited. Cost includes a required kit. Kit includes:  vinyl gloves, materials for dying including a scarf/bandana, and mixed indigo dye. Student to Provide:  white cotton apron.
