Rose Wreath, c.1850
Event Description:
It is a rare treat to see antique quilts from the 1850s. Some of the most stunning are those made with red & green applique on a white background; often made for use as a “best” quilt or a wedding quilt. We have two beautiful examples on display. There are also quilts from the 20th century, including unique 1930′s quilts with their cotton candy colors. Not to be missed:  the “Balloon Bouquet” quilt with over 1,000 hand appliqued balloons in a wide assortment of the well-loved 1930’s prints.
